Prices jumped in 2026 — the Rebel SL3 (~$1,137), Sony ZV-E10 (~$848) and Nikon Z30 (~$897) all sell over $500 new now. Only the Canon R100 (~$499) is still a modern under-$500 mirrorless; for the rest, used is the only budget path.
