Battery claims are the parked figure
The 2-week and 3-month numbers assume Power Saving Zones anchoring to home Wi-Fi. In actual live tracking it is 1-3 days for Tractive and Jiobit, about a week for Fi.
An AirTag is not a GPS tracker
Bluetooth-only tags have no live GPS — they wait for a passing iPhone to report them. With no Find My device nearby, usable range collapses to 30-100 ft. Fine for indoor cats, useless in the woods.
