Fit ledger — need → measured evidence
■ The catch — co-equal billing, always
The screen and the battery are the smallest here. Eight inches and 5,050 mAh — half the Pro's 10,100 mAh and under a quarter of the $320 Blackview's 22,000 mAh — and there is no integrated scanner. If you read drawings, fill long forms, or need a shift-and-a-half of runtime, this is the wrong size.
Dealbreaker? Runner-up №1 doubles both the screen and the battery ↓

Traps — this verdict avoids
Buying the wrong tier
"Rugged" spans $250-500 consumer slates to $3,000+ Toughbooks. A $300 slate is not a substitute for a $2,500 Toughbook at -29°C or on a vehicle mount. Match the tier to the job, not to the word on the box.
The MIL-STD badge is self-graded
MIL-STD-810G/H is a test methodology vendors self-certify — not a pass/fail certification. Ask which drop height was actually tested for your config: 1.2 m is typical for enterprise Android, 1.8 m for fully-rugged Windows. On sub-$500 slates the label is marketing-grade.
Specs you can't actually buy
The enterprise units (Toughbook G2, Getac UX10/ZX10, Zebra ET401/ET60/ET65, Dell Rugged) sell through B2B resellers — Amazon listings are sparse, refurbished or bundle-specific, so expect a quote, not a price tag. And as of the July 2026 check the Oukitel RT2, Oukitel RT7 5G and Dell Latitude 7230 listings have read "currently unavailable" for two consecutive months.
