The Samsung blind spot

Samsung sells zero Dolby Vision TVs. The S95F, S90F and S85F OLEDs and the 2026 Micro RGB sets are HDR10+ only, and Samsung's answer to Dolby Vision 2 is its own HDR10+ Advanced. If your shortlist is Samsung, Dolby Vision is not on it.

The IQ asterisk

Room-adaptive Dolby Vision IQ needs a built-in light sensor and only ships on select models — LG C5/C6/G5, Hisense U8QG, TCL QM6K/QM8K, Panasonic Z95B. Plain Dolby Vision is everywhere; the version that retunes itself to your room is not.

Trap 03

The DV2 promise

Dolby Vision 2 hardware exists in one tier only — Hisense's 2026 RGB mini-LED sets (UX, UR9, UR8), around $3,500 for a 65-inch UR9. DV2 on 2026 TCL X/C series and cheaper Hisense mini-LEDs is a future firmware update, not a shipped feature, and there is no DV2 content catalogue yet.
