EVERYDAY SEALED FLOORS
Reviewed's and TechGearLab's best overall at 82/100 — excellent cleaning on sealed hardwood, tile, vinyl and laminate.
UNDER $150
~$100 street price — $50 of headroom; the consensus pick also happens to be the cheap one.
STUCK-ON MESSES
Built-in Easy Scrubber brush plus variable steam for spots a flat pad alone won't lift.
NO WAITING
~30-second heat-up — plug in and steam; no 8-to-12-minute canister warm-up.
WHOLE-ROOM REACH
23-ft cord and a 12-inch cleaning path — fewer outlet swaps per room.
CHEMICAL-FREE
No detergents — 200°F+ steam sanitizes sealed floors on water alone.

The catch — co-equal billing, always

The tank is small and it won't warn you. ~455 ml caps a run at roughly 12-20 minutes, and there is no water-level indicator — you learn it's empty when the steam stops. Accessories are minimal too: this is a floor mop, nothing else.

Dealbreaker? Runner-up №3 holds 1600 ml — if you can wait 8 minutes for steam ↓

Traps — this verdict avoids

Trap 01

Sealed floors only

Steam is safe on sealed hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl and stone — and nowhere else. On unsealed or engineered wood, 200°F+ steam warps the boards and dulls waxed finishes. Verify the seal before you buy anything here.

Trap 02

The 15-minute tank

Upright tanks hold only ~350-500 ml, which caps continuous cleaning at roughly 12-20 minutes before a refill. Canisters (Dupray 1600 ml, McCulloch ~1900 ml) run far longer but make you wait 8-12 minutes for steam.

Trap 03

Hard water kills mops

Mineral scale from tap water shortens a steam mop's life. Most uprights require distilled water; only canisters and descaling-filter models tolerate the tap. Budget for jugs of distilled water, or buy the filter.
